Lee Wood Villa is a quaint little place, snuggled in the hills of Thekkady. It is approximately 10 km from Kumily border check post when entering from Tamilnadu. The place is beautifully and tastefully built with 3 very comfortable bedrooms with attached baths (2 on the ground floor and 1 on the first floor). All baths come with geyser and the bedrooms have their own balconies. Each of the bedrooms can be accessed privately through separate entrances. The whole villa is built out of wood so it gives you a kind of antique feel.You also have a well stocked kitchen to cook your own meals if interested. The front yard featured a cute little garden and ample parking space for two big vehicles which kids can also use to play around. There is also a small area opposite to the property where you can play badminton or volleyball. There is also a small tree house here which you can access.Deepak, our host, was extremely helpful and he ensured that we were able to check in even though the time was very late in the night. Thomas, his manager made sure that all our requests were addressed and was available round the clock to help us with any queries. Thomas provided us good information about the local places for sight seeing and what would be the best time to visit those places.Overall, an excellent place for a big family outing or friends’ weekend getaways.
